Jaipur
The
Capital of Rajasthan is also known as Pink City for the colour of its
buildings. The City is a lively and vibrant representation of royalty that
gets reflected from the charming City Palace. The Jantar Mantar is an
ancient space research observatory that could calculate the movements and
position of the stars as well as time considerably without errors. In other
important monuments, the Hawa Mahal built for the royal women is
breathtakingly artistic.
Jodhpur
If Jaipur is Pink Jodhpur is no less Blue. If one wants to rest, Mandore Palace and Gardens, at a distance of 8 km will fulfill the desire whole heartedly. Jodhpur is also famous for the Jodhpurs (menswear) and Jootis (shoes).
Jaisalmer
The City of Havelis that was once a major hub of trade is now one of the most visited cities in the country. The Jaisalmer Fort is a majestic example of the city's rich past. The Fort could be entered through the famous entrances known as Pols, namely, the Ganesh Pol, the Suraj Pol, Bhoota Pol and the Hawa Pol. The main attraction of the city is, however, the Havelis that were built by rich traders. Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli and Nathmal Ji ki Haveli are the most exotic among the crowd of Havelis. The never avoidable attraction, Sam San dunes are majestic desert-art left open in front of the thirsty eyes. If one needs more, there's the Gadisar lake, the Amar Sagar Jain temple and the Lodurva temples to enchant the eyes as well as the mind.
Bikaner
Another tourist heartthrob, Bikaner is famous for the Junagarh Fort that was built in 1593 by Raja Rai Singh. It houses some extremely beautiful Palaces. The exotic Fort has finely built courtyards, balconies and windows that make it picturesque to the limit of imagination. The Bhandasar Jain temple was built in the 15th Century and holds a distinct charm in its ambiance. Besides, there is the Laxmi Nath, Shiv Bari and Ratan Bihari temples to add to the list of holy spots. The Lalgarh Palace was designed by Col. Sir Swinton Jacob and represents an amalgamation of Rajput, Muslim and European architectural designs. And when all these attractions have been visited go for a pack of local salted items.
Udaipur
Known
for the picturesque Lake Pichola and amidst the lake, the lake Palace
Udaipur is no mean city. It could mesmerise the watchers with its splendid
beauty that beams out from every monument of History. The City Palace
Museum, Bhartiya Lok kala Museum, Shilpgram and Vinatage Car museum are
absolutely for the antique enthusiasts. There are delightful gardens -
Saheliyon ki Bari, Gulab Bagh and Dudh Talai to increase the charm. The
Jagdish Temple is splendidly built and conveys the silent message of peace
through its ambiance. In the out of station itineraries do not forget to add
Eklingji Temples and Chittaurgarh that are contrasting yet powerful
enticers.

The Holy pilgrimage in Rajasthan is well known for the holy Pushkar Lake which is believed to be created when a Lotus fell from Lord Brahma's hands. The City is also famous for the one and only Brahma temple. Nonetheless, there are other numerous temples scattered in and around the City, the prominent being the Varaha, Pap-Mochini and Rangji temples. The best attraction, however, is the Camel fair that is accompanied by musical extravaganza and selling of local handicrafts in numerous tiny shops. To get a real taste, it is advisable to take a part in the Tug of War or participate with heart and soul in the Camel and Horse Race, the prime attractions of the fair.
Ajmer
A famous Muslim pilgrimage due to the Dargah of the Chistia faith, Ajmer is no less enchanting than any other city of Rajasthan. During the annual death anniversary of Khwaja Moin ud din Chisti, the Urs, Ajmer sees a sea of Muslim pilgrims flocking to the City. Besides, to entice, there are splendid architectural beauties such as the Shah Jehan's Mosque, Adhai din ka Jhopra, taragarh Fort, Man Mahal and the Mayo College. If something is still missing, it would be fulfilled by Akbar's Palace and the adjacent Museum.
